Meet Dr. Amit Wadke

 Raised in a medical household in Mumbai, India, where both my parents and sister are physicians, I grew up learning the importance of making a difference in people’s lives. I came to the U.S. for my first Master’s in Healthcare Administration which I completed in Seton Hall University South Orange, NJ, gaining valuable insights into the healthcare system.

With over a decade of experience in oncology research, I eventually pivoted back to dentistry. I completed a two-year residency and earned an Advanced Certificate in Orofacial Pain from the Eastman Institute of Orofacial Pain (formerly Eastman Dental) at the University of Rochester. This specialty, recognized by the American Dental Association, primarily focuses on managing patients with Orofacial Pain, Temporomandibular Joint (TMJ) Disorders, and Obstructive Sleep Apnea. Research indicates that about one in three people in the U.S. suffers from one of these conditions, yet only a few dentists receive formal education in this specialty.

During my residency, I also earned a Master of Science in Dentistry from University of Rochester, NY, concentrating on TMJ disorders and pain management. I now practice in the Pacific Northwest, treating patients from Seattle and the surrounding areas. As a lifelong researcher passionate about helping my community and peers, I actively educate others, work in clinical research, and publish in peer-reviewed international journals. I am a member of American Academy of Orofacial Pain, American Dental Association, Washington State Dental Association and Seattle-King County Dental Society. 

In my personal life, I enjoy spending time with family and friends, traveling, hiking in the mountains, and attending comedy shows and live music events. I’m also dedicated to volunteering, coordinating efforts at food banks, including Feeding America, which I view as both a rewarding experience and an opportunity to make a tangible difference in people’s lives.
